Founded by Pria Alpern, PhD, the Manhattan Center for Trauma Studies is dedicated to advancing the field of mental health by providing comprehensive, trauma-informed education and training to therapists. Our intention is to equip mental health professionals with the knowledge and skills to effectively treat psychological trauma in diverse clinical settings. We emphasize a rich understanding of traumatology by integrating research and theory with clinical applications.
At this time, we are accepting proposals for training related to EMDR that focus on special topics. Special topics may include, but are not limited to, treating addiction, incorporating parts work into EMDR, somatic approaches in EMDR, special protocols, and working with special populations (e.g., children, couples, veterans). Instructor must have expertise in the proposed content area and be an EMDRIA-certified clinician.
The instructor will facilitate the training on Zoom, where they will lecture, present a PowerPoint, and facilitate engagement with participants. Instructor must have fast, reliable internet and feel adept at using Zoom to facilitate trainings (e.g., screen sharing, breakout rooms, chat, and other Zoom features).
The Manhattan Center for Trauma Studies offers competitive compensation to our training instructors.
